About NPG

NPG (The Nature Park & Galleries) is the unique “open campus museum” on the Hebrew University’s Edmund J. Safra Science Campus

Families explore NPG’s Plant Evolution Garden, a gift of the Leo Model Foundation. The small tree on the right is a Cycad, one of the earliest groups of plants that produce seeds, one of the most significant of all evolutionary innovations. Touch a cycad seed and put yourself in contact with a plant innovation older than the age of the dinosaurs.

NPG shares the treasures and the knowledge of this campus with all segments of the Israeli public, including those studying or working at the Hebrew University, and with visitors from abroad. The museum is suitable for all ages, from young children (accompanied by adults) through golden agers.

NPG makes a great outing for the whole family, friends groups, school groups, or anyone wishing to soak up the lovely, peaceful academic atmosphere, encounter the many treasures of this great university, and discover the stories behind them.

NPG is primarily an outdoor museum. When you enter the main pedestrian gate of the Safra Campus, you also enter the The Nature Park & Galleries, whose borders are those of the campus. Just inside the gate is our display table, where you can pick up a walking tour brochure in English or Hebrew. At the same location, also, pick up a flier for a smartphone audio tour of the campus trees (in Hebrew) or print one out
